Anyone who knows Darryl will describe him as a quiet person but when it comes to music and education he speaks the loudest. Since he was a child, he realize he was drawn to music. Attempting to play and get his hands on what ever instruments he had lying around his home from the guitar, keyboard, electone, angklung, recorder, singing.
Growing up in a family of musicians he was blessed to be expose to a wide variety of musical genres at an early age. He spent the later half of his teenage hood learning the guitar and performing gigs in bands whenever and whenever he could. 6 years after picking up the guitar, he obtained Grade 8 in Electric Guitar. In his early 20’s, he realize he wanted to be a messenger of music and educate students the beauty of music. He has taught various school music enrichment programs as well as private lessons to numerous students. He teaches with enthusiasm and passion for the craft. No student left behind.
Darryl currently sessions guitar for local music artiste such as Leon Markcus and Ciao Turtle.
He has performed at festivals such as Music Matters, Singapore Night Festival, Red Dot Radio, EP launches, NParks Rockestra and more!
He’s also a formal educated audio engineer / producer having obtain his BA in Audio Production from The University of Middlesex. As an audio engineer, he has recorded and mixed material for radio, television, school books, games, e-books and apps.
